Bruce Jenner Interview

I am sure most of us watched the Bruce Jenner special that aired Friday April 24, 2015. where Bruce, confirmed he is in the processes of transitioning into a women.

It takes courage to come on national television and inform the world of his most inner secret, he lived with for so many years.  Here is what he shared with us.

"For all intents and purposes, I am a woman," he told Sawyer. "I was not genetically born that way and as of now I have all the male parts... But I still identify as female."  he also went on and said He said this is the last time he will be known as Bruce Jenner - but didn't reveal a new name yet.

“My whole life has been getting me ready for this. It’s not just the last few years, as they’ve been treating me, as a joke,” Jenner said, referring to the heavy tabloid press, which has surrounded him. “My whole life has prepared me for this moment so I want to take advantage of it and do the right thing.”

The Friday night sit-down is the final TV spot Jenner will appear as “Bruce.” He said from now on, he will continue his life as “myself.” Wiping away his tears, he said, “Bruce lives a lie…she is not a lie. I can’t do it anymore.”

He also went on to say that he is not gay. He went on to explain that he still is and always was attractive to women.

This is what he said about his family.

Revealing that first person he told his secret to was his first wife Chrystie Crownover, Jenner said, “sexuality was totally different than what my issues were. I always felt heterosexual.” He told Crownover that he was cross-dressing, recalling, “I had bigger issues than just cross-dressing.”

His second marriage to actress Linda Thompson, whose previous partner was Elvis Presley, dissolved because of his issues and pain. “My gender was a big part of the breakup.”

When he told his mother, Jenner said that he assured her she did not do anything wrong. It’s just how he was born. He’s always been this way, and everything will be fine.

Why didn’t Jenner come out as transgender earlier in life? He explained he could not bear to tell his children, or face the media firestorm. (Jenner has six biological children, plus the four Kardashians, whom he parented for more than 20 years, and still identifies as their father.)

“‘You’ve just got no guts'” is what Jenner would tell himself for years, as he had not come out as his true self. He continued to cross-dress, and admits he would wear dresses and walk around in public because he felt trapped in the wrong body.

Jenner also said he had been taking hormones for years so he had a “good 36B,” referring to his breasts. He was also cross-dressing, and the Kardashian mogul knew of the habit — but was not aware of the deep-rooted extent of his torment.

“I loved Kris. I had a wonderful life with her. I learned a lot from her,” Jenner said of his ex-wife.

How did Bruce tell his children,

The first child Jenner told was his middle son, Brandon, whose mother is Thompson. “You could tell it was very difficult for him,” his son said, realizing that the moment was harder for his father than for him. “It’s tragic.”

“The first thing I thought was, ‘Oh, it finally makes sense,'” said Brody, who starred on MTV’s “The Hills.” Jenner’s youngest son, his mother is also Thompson.

His oldest son, Burt, whose mother is Crownover, recalled thinking when he was younger that he would never see his father again. But his daughter with Crownover, Casey, reminisced on the time when Jenner assured her he would never go away and would always be her dad.

Jenner revealed Kim was the first he told of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, after she found him wearing a dress.

“Kimberly has been by far the most accepting and the easiest to talk to about it,” Jenner said, sharing a story from a surprising source: Kardashian West’s husband, rapper Kanye West, who helped his wife understand that Jenner is finally coming into himself, which is nothing but positive.

“They all cried,” Jenner said of the famous siblings. “Mainly because they don’t want anyone to hurt dad. They’re very protective of me, especially Kendall and Kylie.”

Khloe took the news the harshest, Jenner said. “She’s had a lot of losses in her life.” He added she fears she will lose him, as her father. “I can’t argue that point, but I’m not going anyway. I’m still going to be here for you,” he’s tried to explain to her.

Kourtney, the eldest of the three Kardashian sisters, took the news well, but is concerned about her children — she has three with her partner Scott Disick, who is another “KUWTK” cast member.

“All of the girls, it’s tough on them,” Jenner disclosed to Sawyer.

“If this is the only problem I have in life, I’ve got it made,” he said, finally looking happy and carefree. “I’ve got my health, I’ve got my children, I have family, I have seven grandchildren now. I’m excited about the future to do some real good in the world.”

He concluded, “This is my cause in life. This is why God put me on this earth — to deal with this issue.”

The family seems to be very supportive of their dad.  It is not an easy thing to digest but I command the family for standing by his side.  We should be able to live our own life and have our own story!

Baby Style

What are your favorite baby Fashion?

Based on my previous posts, most of you know that I am expecting! Yay I could not be happier. I am filled with decor ideas, color themes and fashion style for my baby!

Many people go with the tradition blue for boy and pink and bows for girls.  I respect each individuals idea and fashion for their little one... I don't believe there is a right or wrong way in dressing your kid, you do what works for you.  As for me I am not one to put huge bows on little girls, I mean they look cute but they also look as if they have a double head (just my opinion). I also do not like the style that have seen lately and that's dressing up your baby girls as if she is 25 when she is 1, but to each is own, they still look precious!

As for my baby's fashion style, I will not be using blue as often or maybe not at all.  I  will be using Gender-neutral clothing for kids, for me  is one step in the right direction of freeing them from restrictive gender boxes, which is something that I believe in and am firm with. Of course as a baby/newborn , my child will use delicate clothing which I have already gone insane shopping, however as my baby grows will be styling in grey,  whites, beige, blacks, hunter green, navy,  jean color outfits and many more! we will also bring back the Dr Martens boots (picture below) which I love and adore, I use to wear them back in the day and my baby will rock them as well.  My baby will have many different hats according to the age, and as for swaddles and newborn blankies, we are in love with a few brands Aiden and Anais being one of them.

My baby will also be wearing the moccos that I have already gone crazy and purchased a few.

Life Changes

Those of you who know me, know that my life have changed in a tremendous way.  If you read through  my past blog post you will see the changes.  5 years ago, I got married, to whom at the time, I thought will be my partner for ever, I know in my heart that I had married for love... Life is not always as we plan. Right after this-said beautiful wedding, my marriage started to fall apart, for me this was heart breaking and devastating, however; as my relationship went from bad to worst, we had no other choice than to end the marriage.  Hard times approached but also calmness, peacefulness! God, walked me through life without needing the person that I thought would be my other half.  There are times that I feel as if many people and people I know stay in relationships because of fear of the unknown or being alone, I took the plunged and I do not regret the turn out one bit today.  All in all I can say is do not stay in a bad relationship, life is short and it has so many beautiful things to offer.  Cherish your time alone, and when the right person comes along learn from the negative of what caused your break-up, and applied that to your new relationship and you will see how your new relationship will work out.

Fast forwarding to 2 years ago, I met the person that god had for me.  It was then, when I realized that my marriage needed to fall apart so that better things can happen! I met the person that makes me smile every day! Today I am very happy and blessed that my boyfriend and I are expecting our first baby together.  I will tell you, not in a million years would I have thought that I would be having another child... my youngest is 15. All I can say is how blessed and happy I feel.  I don't know what tomorrow brings but I am living in the right now and for that I thank god, for making things fall apart to bring better things together!

Summer Tips

Summer is here, and lets face it we all love being outside during the summer. The sun, the sand, the BBQs…We can’t get enough!  One of my concerns is how I can avoid damaging my skin.  So before you leave the house, it’s important to remember to stock up on the essential sun protection. Try some of my beauty tips for healthy summer skin!

I am a expecting (soon to be mom) and my skin is going through many changes along with the summer season, our skin changes through out the years, season etc. I have put together a few of my summer tips that's has helped me and hopefully will help you!

First and foremost; always protect your skin from UV rays by using sunscreen SPF 30 or higher.

• Apply foundation only were needed, instead all over your face, or skip it all together... if you are like me who cant live without foundation , use a primer first, and then apply foundation with your fingertips. Once in the sun your face wont be such shock. Light, sheer coverage works best-  use a tinted moisturizer, and apply concealer where needed.
• Keep hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.  If you're on the go like most of us are , try bring a container of fresh fruits on the go... anything to prevent dehydration and possible heat stroke.
• Exfoliate. Depending on what type your skin is, exfoliate 1-2 times a week if you're dry 2-times a week. 
• Protect your hands and feet too. Your neck, chest, and hands are an instant giveaway to your true age. After moisturizing your face with the  Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 30, bring it down to your neck as well. Be sure to apply sunscreen to your chest area as it is one of the areas of your body more susceptible to sunburn. Invest in a hand cream that offers SPF protection, and apply it at least 20 minutes before driving – keep in mind that two-thirds of all sun damage is purely incidental.

It's the most important baby-equipment choice a mom-to-be makes: the all-important baby stroller. After all, the stroller says a lot more about the mom pushing it than it does about the baby inside. Celeb moms make very different choices about what they use to move their most precious cargo so ABC News checked in with Leslie Venokur, one of the founders of Big City Moms, to find out what a stroller tells us about the celeb pushing it.

My Travel Goals

We all have goals, specially at the beginning of the year right?  What are your traveling goals? do you have one?  I'll share one of mine.

If you know me, you also know that I have an obsession with Paris.  One of my main goal is to visit Paris, hopefully this year.  Yes, some how I think I have been adopted by the beautiful France.  My boyfriend is part French, and he has been to Paris, he tells me I would love it there!  

Here is a little history on Paris and the beautiful Eiffel Tower!  This was based on my research and browsing, for I have not been there yet.

For starters Paris, is  the capital and largest city of France; and international center of culture and commerce.  Paris, is  the world's most popular city destination, it has plenty of must-see places, however;  make sure you spend at least a day strolling off the beaten path, as this is the only way to discover the real Paris: a lively cosmopolitan but undeniably French city. The center of Paris is divided in 20 arron-dissements with the majority of the world known attractions (Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Louvre, Pantheon, Notre-Dame,..) situated in the first 8  arrondissements..

Here is a little history on the beautiful romantic, most famous structure, Eiffel Tower, that you can see on top of all Paris.  The tower rises 300 meters tall (984 ft); when it was completed at the end of the nineteenth century it was twice as high as the Washington Monument, at the time the tallest structure in the world.

1889 World Exhibition

The Eiffel Tower was built for the World Exhibition in 1889, held in celebration of the French Revolution in 1789.

The construction was only meant to last for the duration of the Exposition, but it still stands today, despite all protests from contemporary artists who feared the construction would be the advent of structures without 'individuality' and despite the many people who feared that this huge 'object' would not fit into the architecture of Paris. 

Today, there is no such aversion anymore among the Parisians, and one could not imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower, in fact it has become the symbol of the City of Light.

Gustave Eiffel

The man behind the Eiffel Tower was Gustave Eiffel, known from his revolutionary bridge building techniques, as employed in the great viaduct at Garabit in 1884. These techniques would form the basis for the construction of the Eiffel Tower. He was also known for the construction of the Statue of Liberty's iron framework. 

The structure took more than two years to complete. Each one of the about 12,000 iron pieces were designed separately to give them exactly the shape needed. All pieces were prefabricated and fit together using approx. seven million nails.

The Tallest

Inaugurated March 31, 1889, the Eiffel Tower would be the tallest structure in the world until the completion of the Chrysler Building in 1930.
