Peta Murgatroyd & Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Blue-Themed Baby Shower

Peta Murgatroyd & Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Blue-Themed Baby Shower

In case you missed it.  Here are pictures of our Dancing with the stars professional, Peta and Max baby shower.

The soon to be mama, looked stunning in a floor-length white maternity gown and pearl drop earrings, her blonde tresses styled in a glamorous updo. Chmerkovskiy matched Murgatroyd’s stylish duds in a black blazer with a polka-dot shirt underneath.
“Thank you to everyone who came. The love in the room was apparent and all the babies made us feel at ease about bringing a kid into this crazy world,” the first time dad wrote to a company a photo of himself and his fiancee, holding hands in front of a gorgeous floral display.

Congratulations to both.

Baby Items

All Baby Everything!

Here are products that I own and love from 4 moms.

For my son Ace, a lot of my product were 4 moms.  Yes, some are a little pricey but worth it. I will be posting products, bottle, toys and everything baby that I used and maybe should of used as well as regret using.

Today here some products I use.
4Moms

The Mamaroo, was my favorite! I love the swing levels and motions, I also loved the fact that I was able to connect my ipod and play lullaby to my infant while he rocked to sleep.

The 4moms tub, is fantastic, and I highly recommend, here is why! This tub keeps my baby's  bath SAFE, due to water temperature.  It alerts me when the water is safe and when the water is not.  If it's too hot or too cold.  I mean how great is this. If you are expecting you should register one of these.

Playpen.  Awesome product.  This product was an easy go.  I would carry with this to my sister house, when she watched Ace, while I returned to work, this product kept my baby safe while he slept and plays.

Here is the website for more products. www.4moms.com

Formula Milk Maker

Baby Item That Saved Me

This baby item saved my life, after I stopped breastfeeding, today I share it with you because I just needed to explain the simplicity you fill the up with your baby's water and the top with formula powder, once this is done, you then program the oz of the amount of milk your little drinks, and wha la, formula done.  The best part of this is that you don't have to warm this milk, this machine does everything for you in just a few seconds.

Best item ever.

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga is one of the best things that you can do for yourself, as well as your growing baby. It's important that you find the right yoga practice for you. I attended to a prenatal yoga center.

If you are expecting and seem a bit confused here are some of the benefits.  (Always consult with your doctor first).  My doctor okay me, he encouraged me to work out and keep active.

Develops Strength -As baby grows within our body, more energy and strength is needed to be able to carry the weight.  Yoga poses strengthen our hips, back, arms and shoulders.

Balance- Our balance is challenged physically as the fetus grows within our body. Emotionally we are drained due to the increases in  of estrogen and progesterone. As we try to focus on holding and breathing through each yoga pose, we are able to fine tune our balance, physically and emotionally.

Relieves tension from lower back, hips, chest, upper back, shoulders, neck- As baby grows, more stress is put upon these specific muscle groups in our bodies.  We tend to have more of a lordotic/lower back curve due to the increased size of our bellies.  Our hips get tighter due to the added pressure of baby’s weight in our bellies. As our breasts increase in size, our upper back and chest have more tension, along with our neck and shoulders.

Nerves- Also helps through deep breathing, the nervous system goes into parasympathetic mode, which is responsible for relaxation.  When our bodies are in that mode, our digestions operate properly, we tend to sleep better, and our immune system is at its optimal.

Congratulations, you are pregnant!! Welcome to all types of body and skin changes.  Pimples, heat rashes, the list goes on my friends.

I was browsing through the net and came across some great tips on how to keep your skin healthy during pregnancy.

What causes our skin changes?
t's those pregnancy hormones at work yet again, causing your pores to secrete excess oil, making you vulnerable to heat rash, and visiting discolorations on your face, legs, palms, and soles. They're even responsible for a particularly unpleasant kind of skin eruption known as PUPPP (pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy), or lesions in your stretch marks. Skin tags, or small, raised growths on the skin, are common during pregnancy, too, particularly under your arms.

Expecting a pregnant glow

Were you expecting a pregnant glow? Few expectant moms get that lucky — and many experience just about every skin problem in the book. Fortunately, whether it's flash back to your baby days (with heat rash) or to your junior high days (with pimples and a greasy shine), just about all your skin symptoms will be a thing of the past within weeks of delivery.

What to do about skin changes during pregnancy:
  • Stick to the Pregnancy Diet. It contains the right balance of nutrients to keep your skin looking as good as it can — under the trying circumstances.
  • Get those eight glasses a day. Drinking lots of water will keep your skin hydrated and healthy.
  • If pimples are your problem, wash your face twice a day with a thorough but gentle cleanser (harsh ones will only leave skin more open to irritation). Exfoliate gently, too (don't get too aggressive), and finish off with an oil-free moisturizer. Overly stripped skin is more prone to breakouts. (Learn more about pregnancy skin care.)
  • Look for the words "noncomedogenic" and "unscented" when you're buying makeup and skin-care products. "Oil free" will be less likely to add excess oils and clog up pores — good if your skin is on the oilier side to begin with. But if your skin is dry, you'll do best to choose moisturizing products.
  • A supplement of B6 might help a tough case of acne. Talk to your practitioner about it.
  • If you see a dermatologist, always tell him or her that you're expecting. Some drugs commonly used to treat acne, like Accutane and Retin-A, should not be used while you're pregnant.
  • Taking too many baths can strip your skin of its moisture. Stick to short showers (good training for actual motherhood) in warm (not hot) water, and use a mild soapless cleanser. For very dry skin, try a moisturizer or put a warm-mist humidifier in your room.
  • For eczema, low-dose cortisone creams are usually safe, but talk to your practitioner and ask if he or she has recommendations.
  • For redness on the palms of your hands, sit tight. This condition disappears after you give birth.
  • Skin tags usually appear during pregnancy and disappear after delivery. If they don't, a dermatologist can remove them in a flash.
  • For heat rash, staying cool can help. Sprinkle on a bit of cornstarch after a shower and avoid tight or overly warm clothing. Dress in layers so you peel down if you get too warm.
  • For PUPPP, show any marks or rashes to your practitioner. They usually go away after delivery, but he or she might prescribe a medication.

The Oribel Portaplay Convertible Activity Center is made with a modern feel to it.   It has a bouncy, moveable seat surrounded by detachable toys and legs that fold flat for storage.  What are better item than the ones that converts.  This one  converts to a play table when your baby outgrows it. Fantastic.

Inside Jessie James Decker Baby Nursery

With her 2nd baby (boy) on the way this September, Mrs. Decker, has shown us her amazing baby boy, nursery.

Nursery was designed by Decker with the help of  Joss & Main's style director

“I knew I always wanted a sports-theme room. As soon as I got pregnant with him and knew it was a boy, I just felt like it fit his personality!” Decker, 27, tells PEOPLE.
“I think when people do the animal themes they are cute and all, but it just didn’t feel like this little guy. He feels like a cool sports dude already.”

Any athletic genes passed onto her son wouldn’t come as a surprise: Decker’s husband is New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker. Already parents to 16-month-old daughter Vivianne Rose, the couple are looking forward to officially being a family of four.
“I think we are most excited about all rolling around on the carpet and just playing together as a family,” shares the country singer and designer. “I can’t wait to see Vivi love on her baby brother and give him kisses.”

Although much of the nursery is a far cry from Vivianne’s room — “I won’t be making his room pink or adding tea sets,” Decker jokes — there are a few pieces that have resurfaced.
“I think a necessity is the glider,” she explains. “That comes in handy if they get sad in the middle of the night and miss you and need to be rocked back to sleep.”

And now that the nursery has been crossed off the to-do list, Decker is counting down the days until her son’s arrival — and wrapping up a few final loose ends.
“I just need to wash his baby clothes now and put them all away in his closet,” she says. “We are so excited and ready to meet this little guy. It will be an amazing addition to our loving family.”

Kristen Cavallari

Good Morning friends.

Since, I am a new mommy, (not for the first time but after a few years) I am into all mom stuff.  As I do my morning internet browsing, I went on to Elle.com site, which is one of my favorite.  I came across Kristen Cavallari, 6 unscripted hours.  Not to take away from the site (which you can go on and read the entire interview) I wanted to post a few pictures of this 6 hours unscripted with Kristen.

As per elle.com pictures were taken in the couples Nashville, Tennessee, gated community home.

I enjoy reading about Kristine, I feel she came a long way since her bad girl Laguna Beach  and The Hills days.  She is a mother of 2 beautiful boys and also expecting her third child. Love how she has become a mother who cares for her children and also cares for herself just as much.   She now has a book titled 'Balancing In Heels', which will contain topics ranging from "mommy" to "wife" to health and business.  (looking forward to purchasing this book).

Below are more pictures of the Cutlers and their beautiful home.

Baby Style

What are your favorite baby Fashion?

Based on my previous posts, most of you know that I am expecting! Yay I could not be happier. I am filled with decor ideas, color themes and fashion style for my baby!

Many people go with the tradition blue for boy and pink and bows for girls.  I respect each individuals idea and fashion for their little one... I don't believe there is a right or wrong way in dressing your kid, you do what works for you.  As for me I am not one to put huge bows on little girls, I mean they look cute but they also look as if they have a double head (just my opinion). I also do not like the style that have seen lately and that's dressing up your baby girls as if she is 25 when she is 1, but to each is own, they still look precious!

As for my baby's fashion style, I will not be using blue as often or maybe not at all.  I  will be using Gender-neutral clothing for kids, for me  is one step in the right direction of freeing them from restrictive gender boxes, which is something that I believe in and am firm with. Of course as a baby/newborn , my child will use delicate clothing which I have already gone insane shopping, however as my baby grows will be styling in grey,  whites, beige, blacks, hunter green, navy,  jean color outfits and many more! we will also bring back the Dr Martens boots (picture below) which I love and adore, I use to wear them back in the day and my baby will rock them as well.  My baby will have many different hats according to the age, and as for swaddles and newborn blankies, we are in love with a few brands Aiden and Anais being one of them.

My baby will also be wearing the moccos that I have already gone crazy and purchased a few.

Here is just a little taste on baby A.G style.  Will post more pictures as I get closer to my due date.  I will show you a few of my purchased items.

Strollers and Celebs

ABC News had an article regarding Celeb Baby Strollers: What It Says About Mom.  I thought it was great to share.

It's the most important baby-equipment choice a mom-to-be makes: the all-important baby stroller. After all, the stroller says a lot more about the mom pushing it than it does about the baby inside. Celeb moms make very different choices about what they use to move their most precious cargo so ABC News checked in with Leslie Venokur, one of the founders of Big City Moms, to find out what a stroller tells us about the celeb pushing it.

It appears Jenna Bush Hager also loves the practicality and versatility of Uppa Baby. Here, she takes a walk along the Hudson River in New York City with mom Laura Bush and her baby daughter, Margaret Hager on May 20, 2014

PHOTO: Actress Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman are seen with an UPPAbaby stroller on Jan. 20, 2013 in New York City.

Drew Barrymore's Uppa Baby Vista
"The Uppa Baby Vista is such a practical stroller. Drew Barrymore is so relatable to so many moms - she is like the girl next door - so its no wonder that she uses the Uppa Baby Vista," Venokur said. "It has a huge basket underneath which is perfect for all of Drews walks to the farmers market or a trip to the park with her mom friends. And the additional seat option or adding the "piggyback" ride on accessory is perfect for big sister Olive to stroll with as well."
Cost: $730

PHOTO: Kendra Wilkinson is seen with her husband Hank Baskett with their son in a Stokke Xplory stroller in Beverly Hills, Calif. on June 22, 2010.

Kendra Wilkinson's Stokke Xplory
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett welcomed their second child last week. They are already parents to son Hank Baskett IV, now 4. But before Hank was walking, Wilkinson used the Stokke Xplory to wheel him around -- something she may use again for their baby girl.
"Kendra needs a stroller that works for both herself and Hank," Venokur said. "Kendra is so petite and Hank is so tall! The Xplory is a great choice for them as the handlebar is adjustable and can accommodate both of them. The storage on this stroller is not ideal -- but Hank can just do all the heavy lifting! Also, Kendra is a bit of a flashy person -- she loves to be noticed -- and this stroller does turn heads..because of both look -- and the price point."
Cost: $1100
PHOTO: Jessica Simpson is seen pushing a BOB stroller in Toluca Lake, Calif. on March 31, 2013.
Jessica Simpson's BOB Revolution.
With Jessica's new "being the healthy/fit mom" as a role model for other moms, the revolution is a great choice for her. It's perfect for jogging and not too cumbersome so she can use it as an everyday stroller," said Venokur.
Cost: $400
PHOTO: Kate Middleton and her son, Prince George, are seen on April 25, 2014 in Canberra, Australia and the Sleepover Pram System from Silver Cross is seen in an undated handout photo.
Kate Middleton's Silver Cross Inglesina
"The Silver Cross Pram is the ultimate luxurious "pram" fit for a king," Venokur said. "It's a great stroller choice for a nice quiet stroll in the park. It's not practical for someone that has to lift, fold, and walk far distances with - but just looking at the silver cross pram - you think royalty - it's classy looking - the exact stroller that if you were painting a picture of a mom strolling a baby."
Cost: $1400

PHOTO: Kim Kardashian pushes her daughter North West in an Orbit Baby G2 stroller in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City on Nov. 26, 2013.
Kim Kardashian's Orbit Baby G3
"Kim is a mom on the go, in and out of cars and planes," said Venokur. "The Orbit G2 infant system is the ideal stroller choice for someone that travels often as the car seat docks off the stroller into the car without any fuss. Add in the "paparazzi shield" that hides baby North from the cameras and its the perfect stroller for Kim."

Danielle Jonas' Baby Shower

Danielle, had her baby shower back in November, as we know her and husband are expecting a baby girl. Here are some of the most unique gifts from Danille's baby shower.

Among the many gifts she received, Danielle gave herself the best one: a bassinet and christening gown made from her own Vera Wang wedding dress! I mean how amazing and unique is this.  Most of us preserve our gowns in hopes to one day have a daughter and she would wear it on her day!!! Well truth is not every girl is going to wear their mom's dress! Here is what Dany, did.  She had her First Year Carry Me Near bassinet with her very own wedding gown cover. Awesome, don't you agree?

Gisele Bunchen Breastfeeding Picture

Gisele Bunchen, controversial breastfeeding picture!

gisele-breastfeeding

Honestly, I don't understand the controversy behind this picture.  Why are mother's outraged? Gisele, is a super model, a mother of 2 and the wife of an NFL quarterback. This is her life!  We all have different types of situations, jobs etc.. Gisele's, job is one that requires an entourage.  She is breastfeeding her child, while getting glam... it called a multitasking. I strongly believe that if we all had jobs like this and a baby to nurse we will be doing the same thing. I do not see anything wrong with her even posting the picture ( this was her personal choice), on the contrary, this can inspire many mother's, that you can feel beautiful and nurse all at the same time!   In my opinion, this is a beautiful picture, I don't see anything controversial about it.

What are your thoughts?

Children's Book

My Children's Book Library, Post.

We are in love with Ricky Martin, children book  Santiago the Dreamer in Land Among the Stars.  The kid-friendly tale — which will also be available in Spanish — is about a young boy named Santiago, who struggles with self confidence after he doesn't land the lead role in his school’s play. Heavily influenced by his own childhood, Martin hopes his book “inspires young readers to believe that dreams woven from their imaginations can become reality.”
On the same day, the ecstatic singer also gave fans a sneak peek of an uplifting quote from the book. ”When you reach for the moon … sometimes you land among the stars.’ – Santiago The Dreamer,”
I think I will purchase this book for my step daughter.
