Eye Cream or Moisturizer

What Products do you use? I use cellceuticles.

What Comes First, Eye Cream or Moisturizer?

Morning Routine

Step one: cleanser

Obvious, yeah, but you must always start by washing your face to dissolve dirt, oil and grime, which can block pores and keep other products from getting in and doing their work.

Step two: exfoliant

Feel free to skip cleansing on days you exfoliate, since sloughing also removes dirt and oil, says Dr. Jeannette Graf, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at New York University School of Medicine.
Step three: toner

Many experts don't promote toning, but there are exceptions. "It's good as a post-rinse following at-home microdermabrasion to remove tiny crystals, or as a soothing step following makeup removal," Graf says.
Step four: prescription products

"Always apply prescription topicals first, on clean, dry skin, to enhance their penetration," says Graf. Many are designed to be used twice daily, so make sure they're at the top of the order at night, too.

Step five: antioxidant serum

Think of layering skincare products as you would layering clothes in winter. "Start with the thinnest item and end with the thickest," Graf says. Free radical-fighting serums are crucial for daytime wear when your skin needs protection from the sun and pollution.
Step six: eye cream

Pat it on prior to moisturizing. "Topping an eye cream or serum with lotion will actually seal in its active ingredients," explains Ranella Hirsch, a dermatologist in Cambridge, Mass., and president-elect of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. Your morning eye product should contain antioxidants, SPF and moisturizing humectants like glycerin and propylene glycol.

Step seven: redness relievers

"These products include ingredients like green tea (which contains caffeine) and niacinamide to constrict capillaries and abate redness," says Howard Fein, director of dermatologic surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Take advantage of these visible benefits by using them during the day, in place of your regular moisturizer. Always pair them with sunscreen, adds Hirsch, and cut back on other potentially irritating products -- retinoids, scrubs and alcohol-based serums -- which aggravate ruddy complexions.

Step eight: moisturizer

Consider the chemistry of creams: "They usually contain more oil than water," Fein says. "So if you were to put them on first, your lighter, water-based gels and serums would slide off your face instead of sinking in." But by applying them almost last, they actually lock in your other products, boosting their efficacy.
Step nine: sunscreen

If your moisturizer doubles as an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen -- and you're spending the day indoors -- you can omit the additional sunscreen, Hirsch says.
Step 10: makeup primer

Whether using it to fill in lines, hide pores or just create an even canvas for color, silicone-based primer is your last step. It's like waterproofing your skin, says Jim Hammer, a cosmetics chemist at Pharmasol Labs in Easton, Mass. If you were to apply it before your day cream or sunscreen, those water-based products couldn't penetrate. "If you smooth it on after, your skin can absorb your moisturizer before the primer forms a slick film on top of it," Hammer says.

My September Book Read

I am currently reading Something Borrowed, for my book club. Ladies this is a very good read, intresting from the beginning. If you are looking for a book to read this is the one.

Something Borrowed tells the story of Rachel, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. Rachel has always been the consummate good girl---until her thirtieth birthday, when her best friend, Darcy, throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks, Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiancé.

Although she wakes up determined to put the one-night fling behind her, Rachel is horrified to discover that she has genuine feelings for the one guy she should run from. As the September wedding date nears, Rachel knows she has to make a choice. In doing so, she discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk all to win true happiness. Something Borrowed is a phenomenal debut novel that will have you laughing, crying, and calling your best friend.

Something For The BABY!

I came across this stroller that i absolutely adore, beautiful specially for those mommy's expecting little boys. Hummm mommy's maybe this is something you can add to your registry.

Maxi Cosi Foray ($350), you don’t need to choose. Not only can the Foray handle baby from infancy through toddler hood, it does so with a seat that switches from rear to forward-facing and with the styling of a standalone, standout single.

Setting up the Foray is fairly straightforward, requiring just a few pulls and clicks before the chassis is locked and the wheels are ready to go on. The seat then slides into two towers and clicks on both sides when it is secure. To switch the stroller from forward to rear-facing, simply press both release buttons and pull up.

If you’re a brand new mom going for the travel system experience, the Foray accepts a Maxi-Cosi Mico (sold separately) infant car seat. Instead of installing the stroller seat, click the Mico directly onto the chassis of the Foray with the same two towers mentioned previously. Just make sure you engage the parking brake whenever you’re switching out — from infant car seat to stroller seat, or from forward to rear-facing — because the pulling-up motion is difficult (and unsafe) otherwise.

E Special On Christina Aguilera

Has anyone watched the E special on Christina? this show was on a few weeks ago, I DVR and finally had the chance to watch.

Life wasn’t always so beautiful for Christina Aguilera. In an upcoming TV documentary, the superstar singer opens up about her family’s history of domestic abuse, describing how her dad was verbally and physically abusive to her, her mother, and her sister.

Though they eventually left her father, Christina says that the violence she witnessed at home actually helped to inspire her creatively. Says Christina: “I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.” Christina is now speaking out about her history of abuse in hopes of helping other women and children who are in similar situations.
She is a brave girl, with a beautiful family. I adore her.

Your Body While Pregnant

Since I just helped host my dear friend's baby shower, and I will be hosting another one in a few weeks, plus just found out my long time friend is expecting this article is for them. Love you all guys.

Your Body - Exercise Tips for Pregnant Moms

Exercise does wonders for you during pregnancy. It helps prepare you for childbirth by strengthening your muscles and building endurance, and makes getting your body back in shape once the baby's born much easier. Staying active during pregnancy doesn't necessarily mean going for the burn. Your body releases a hormone called relaxin during pregnancy that loosens your joints in preparation for delivery, so it may not make sense to exercise as hard as you did before you became pregnant. It's important to find exercises that won't injure you or harm the baby.

Ideal exercise gets your heart pumping, keeps you limber, manages weight gain, and prepares your muscles for the hard work of labor and delivery -- without causing undue physical stress for you or the baby. Many activities such as running and weight training are fine in the beginning, but you may need to modify your regimen as you grow bigger. You'll be better off avoiding activities that could put you at risk for slips and falls, such as bicycling, rollerblading, horseback riding, and skiing.

The following exercises are fairly safe for expectant moms, although some of them may not work for you during the last few months of your pregnancy. To be safe, consult your doctor or midwife before embarking on any of these activities.

Cardiovascular

WalkingOne of the best cardiovascular exercises for pregnant women, walking keeps you fit without jarring your knees and ankles. It also gets you out of the house, which can only help, and is safe throughout the nine months of pregnancy.

Jogging / RunningGoing for a jog is the quickest and most efficient way to work your heart and your body. Plus you can tailor it to your schedule -- running 15 minutes one day when that's all you can afford, and 30 the next when you have the time.

SwimmingHealthcare providers and fitness experts hail swimming as the best and safest exercise for pregnant women. Swimming is ideal because it exercises both large muscle groups (arms and legs), provides good cardiovascular benefits, and allows expectant women to feel weightless despite the extra pounds of pregnancy.

Flexibility and strength
Yoga and stretchesGood news: Yoga and stretching can help maintain muscle tone and keep you flexible with little if any impact on your joints. But you may have to augment a yoga regimen by walking a few times a week to give your heart a workout.

Weight TrainingIf weight training is already part of your exercise routine, there's no reason to stop, although you will need to avoid using heavy weights and assuming certain positions. If you take the necessary precautions and have good technique, weight training is a great way to tone and strengthen your muscles.

DanceYou can get your heart pumping by dancing to your favorite tunes in the comfort and privacy of your living room, but steer clear of breakdancing or other dance movements that call for you to leap, jump, or twirl. If you sign up for a class, you can lose yourself in music, stay fit, and meet others.

Low-impact aerobicsOne good thing about an aerobics class is that it's a consistent time slot when you know you'll get some exercise. And if you sign up for a class specifically designed for pregnant women, you'll get to enjoy the camaraderie of others just like you, and can feel reassured that each movement has been deemed safe for you and the baby.

The Odom's

Into the sunset together Mr. and Mrs. Odom.

Khole & Lamar

Khloe Kardashian wore Vera Wang as she married Lamar Odom Sunday evening at a private residence in Beverly Hills.Khloe Kardashian wore Vera Wang as she married Lamar Odom Sunday evening at a private residence in Beverly Hills.
Naturally the wedding was taped for Khloe's reality show, 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' (and yes, I will be tuning into watch).
At 5:12 p.m., Kardashian, 25, walked down the outdoor aisle in a Vera Wang gown on the arm of her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, with sisters Kim and a pregnant Kourtney at her side. Khloe's bridal party included half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, actresses (and twin sisters) Khadijah and Malika Haqq and actress Lauren London.

Guests began arriving at the black-tie affair (at which BlackBerrys were banned) more than an hour in advance for a pre-wedding reception. A ten-piece orchestra played during the ceremony, held on the grounds of the home of music mogul Irving Azoff, a family friend. The flowers for the ceremony were all-white.
What did the venue look like?

Wedding planner Sharon Sacks created the Hollywood nightclub-themed reception that followed in a tent on the property, fitted with dark wooden walls, white carpeting, silver mirrors and chandeliers. Guests dined at glass and wood tables decorated with lavish centerpieces of white and lavender flowers. A DJ was booked to keep the party going until 11:00 p.m.

I know what you are thinking - REALITY SHOW!! Well, guess what? You are probably right. Ryan Seacrest was asked and he said he is "seriously thinking about" giving Khloe and Lamar their own spot on television. Would you tune in? I will.
