Sandy Hook Elemantry

My heart and prayers go out to all the families of those loving beautiful people that they have lost.  My heart hurts from this horrible, unexplained tragedy.  May all your angels rest in peace and find a place in heaven.

The Beauty Tips

Beauty Tips

Less Visible Zit

Apply Ice, this decreases inflammation, and can even relieve the pain associated with the zit. Directions: Wrap a cube in a zip lock bag, hold against the affected area for five to ten minutes(your zit will shrink).
Avoiding Puffy Eyes
Long night?  Wrap a cube in a washcloth and hold over the eyes can reduce early morning puffiness, and make you look and feel more alert. For a stronger effect, freeze cubes of caffeinated black tea, or store sliced cucumbers on ice to keep you feeling fresh.

Prime Skin

Before patting on foundation, run an ice cube over your face, focusing on areas with enlarged pores. The cold water will cause pores to reduce in size and minimize their appearance under makeup. Icing these areas before your application of a primer can yield extra-smooth results.

Getting Fit

Hello my lovies,

I have been some what MIA, I apologize for this.  I will now start blogging on a more day to day basis. Today I wanted to blog about getting fit.  After going through some period of time of not working out I quickly realize that I was 30 pounds heavier.  I am the type of person who sets a goal and I try to stick to my goals.  Well friends, losing all the weight was one of my immediate goals and in less than 6 months I accomplished my goal of losing 25 pounds.  Below I attached a workout video that can help you get the waist into shape. Let's do this together friends. If i did it, you can too!

Let's get our bodies into shape.

Bonding With Your Kids

Most of us have precious few hours with our kids at night.  Trust me as a full time working mom for over 12 years, I had to learn to make the most of our time together at night.

Gadgets- must go off. Establish one hour or more of teach- free time.  When computers, gadgets, games and tv's are off, families are almost forced to interact.

Dinner-   Even if dinner is for 10-15 minutes make sure phones are off, I use mealtimes as a gathering opportunity.  My kids and I, normally take this time to talk about our day, school, work, sports or and even each other.  I truly love it and cherish these moments.  In our house dinner together is very important.

Day Recap- As cheesy as it may sound at night before bed, we do a re-cap of our day.  We discuss our favorite and least favorite part of our day.  We can discuss and solve. I love it.

Hope you enjoy my 3 tip on bonding with your children.  I do this every day with my children.

Kourtney Introduces Penelope

Kourtney and Scott introduced their new bundle of joy to the world.

Kourtney Kardashian's darling baby girl Penelope Scotland Disick may have taken a while to make her public debut, but like all good, utterly adorable things, she was definitely worth the wait.
And like any good Kardashian, the cutie pie tot knows how to make an entrance, and did so by claiming her first cover, debuting today on Us Weekly. (Proud big bro Mason happily posed with his adorable sis and beaming mom!).

Tips On Feeling Sexy

How to look sexier is a question if or when we are feeling a bit down about our state of dress.  Dressing sexier is not about dressing provocative.  Sexiness come from attitude but most important is confidence in your self.  Below are some ways to look and feel sexier!

1. Good posture- can do wonders for your appearance.  Remember walk tall and keep your shoulders back and your head up high

2. What you wear underneath - Wearing bras that do not fit you and under wears can end up causing lumps and bumps.  You can overcome by wearing a well fitted undergarment.

3.  Wearing fitted clothes - You want to look sexy, well your clothes plays a huge part. To look and feel sexy you do not have to wear revealing clothes, feeling sexier is much more of how your clothes fits.  Nothing screams unsexy more than clothes 3 sizes smaller than your actual size.

4. Workout- working out will not only help your body look better and but this boost your endorphin levels as well.  You will not just look better you will feel better too!

5. Makeup-  Go bold darling!! nothing screams sexy than a tube of red lipstick.. an age old fabourite. if red lips isn't your thing, try a sexy smokey eye put the sexy in your eyes.

This works for me hopefully it can work for you as well.

Nick and Vanessa

Vanessa Lachey is keeping her Twitter followers well informed on her changing shape as she nears the end of her pregnancy.
The 31-year-old proudly put her bump on show in all its glory in a Twitter picture posted on her account today.

She dressed in a revealing bandeau top and white skirt for the impromptu photo shoot and her husband Nick Lachey, 38, stepped in to tenderly stroking her exposed belly.

She wrote alongside the picture: 'My Happiness... My Family! Ahhh, My Boys!' How cute are they? We heart them.

Principles

What do principles mean.  For me, they are the lifeline to my soul. I think that you will never be truly lost if you have your principles. They are reminders of the things that work and don’t work for you. They keep you grounded and give you reasons for the things you do. Principles, not your possessions and money, give you value as a person. Here are 5 principles to live by for a better life.

Have Goals & Don't Be Afraid To Take Risk
1. Goals, whether short term or long term, are important to keep you excited about life. Don’t stop dreaming and don’t stop planning ways to achieve your dreams. Remain flexible and don’t be afraid to try something new. If you don’t take risks, you’ll never grow and learn new things.

Do What You Love Or Love What You Do
2. When you wake up in the morning, do you find yourself excited to start working? Life is short and there is no time to waste doing work you don’t love or enjoy. If you are not doing what you love, then maybe you can try to fall in love with your work. You either change your work or you change your attitude towards it. Not everyday is a happy day but we can all try.

Be Honest
3.Too many people have been hurt by lies and deceptions. Life is hard enough as it is; there is no need to complicate it further with dishonesty. Live by the truth and you feel liberated.

Be Respectful
4.Treat others as you would like to be treated. And I’m not just talking about fellow human beings; the rest of nature also deserves to be treated with respect. Always remember that respect begets respect.

Learn To Let Go
5. A Buddhist proverb tell us, “Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.” Don’t hold on to things and people who cause you pain. They are not worth your time. You don’t have to suffer on their account. If you don’t let go of negative things, you will miss out on the beauty of life trust me learn how to let go of the negative!

The Right Person

Tips*** Finding Love

There are things that very simple in life, but there are also situations that are not that simple... finding love is really one of the not so simple things. Below are a 2 tips on how to find the right guy. These are some of the advise I follow and I have learned along my own life journey.

1) NEVER SETTLE
God only knows how many women I see doing this on a regular basis there are many reasons as to of why we do this, it could be that you may have low self-esteem, that your heart is broken from a past relationship or you just feel like "Hey, why shouldn't I give him a chance?" DON'T think this, If you have ever heard the term "there's plenty of fish in the sea" It's true and settling will lead you down a long winding road of unhappiness.

2) Accept yourself for who YOU are.
Until you can see yourself in open light, you are hiding others from your true capability of being in a long-lasting relationship. Meaning instead of looking in the mirror and tearing yourself down say something nice about yourself. (Do you have a nice smile, style, natural beauty)? When you focus on the positive it makes it a lot easier to forget about those little pesky things that get you down about yourself.

Please note* By no means am I an expert.

Home Spa DIY

Stress is something we all go through in our lives; sometimes in abundance. Whether it’s family life, you or your loved one’s health, your home, your job, or the countless other responsibilities we just can’t seem to say no to, stress seeps into our lives and sometimes downright refuses to let go until it has taken us as far down as we think we can possibly go.
Sometimes we would like nothing more than to step into a spa and be pampered throughout the afternoon.  Considering my super busy schedule I would love to have a full-service spa day every other day but let's face it, I am not rich and can not afford to walk through their doors as often as I would like because, dammit, those services are expensive!
So if you’re like me and find yourself often fantasizing about face scrubs and milk baths, here are a 2 super easy beauty recipes you can effortlessly make at home, perhaps after a trip to the grocery store, that will eliminate your troubles, your worries and your stress–at least for the time being.

Relaxing Foot Soak
If you are like my always on your feet and in heels day in and day out, here is a great way to detox and relax.
You will need:
  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 1 peppermint tea bag
  • 1 chamomile tea bag
  • 1 basin of water
Directions:
Fill a basin with warm water and add the Epsom salts and tea bags. Soak feet for 30 minutes.

Old Fashioned Bubble Bath

Who doesn’t love a relaxing, soothing bubble bath? This recipe has some rather weird ingredients, but the sugar and egg whites condition skin and also add to the bubbly effect.
You will need:
  • 1/2 cup milky liquid soap or shower gel
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 1 egg white
Directions:
Mix together all ingredients. To use, pour the entire mixture under the running water as you draw your bath.
