Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed a baby boy , George Alexander Louis, on July 22, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in London, England. The royal couple posed for pictures and spoke to the British press about the future king of England -- who is third in line for the throne, behind his father and Prince Charles.
Kate wore a bespoke cornflower blue crepe-de-chine dress by British designer, Jenny Packham, while her husband William wore a matching blue button-down shirt.
Pausing to answer questions from the crowd, William said of his new son, "He's got a good pair of lungs on him, that's for sure. He's a big boy – he's quite heavy."
He added, when the question came up, "He has got her looks, thankfully."
"It's very emotional," Kate said of the experience. "It's a moment that any parent having just given birth will know what this feeling feels like."
The new father also said to the gathered press: "I will remind him of this time when he’s a bit older because I know how long you have all been sat out here, so hopefully the hospital and all you guys can go back to normal now and we can look after him."
As for the baby's hair, "He has way more than me, thank God," said his father.
Regarding the changing of the diaper: "He's done his first nappy," Kate said of the proud dad.
Royal sources confirm William practiced putting in the car seat and driving away in the run-up to his smooth performance Tuesday.
